kesärutiinit / summer routine

Aamuisin herätään linnunlauluun, lapsi kömpii peittoni alle, haluaa tuntea äidin ihon, sanoo: olen vähän aikaa sinun vauva. Silitän pehmeitä hiuksia, pian vauvasta kuoriutuu kukkaistyttö, joka kipittää äkkiä katsomaan mitä on yön aikana tapahtunut kukkapurkissa johon kylvin kiireessä cocolta saamani siemenet. Molemmat näyttävät kasvaneen yön aikana, tyttö ja kukat, molemmat näyttävät kaipaavan pihalle valoon. Ja sinne me mennään, valoa kohti, kukkia kohti, kyllä tässä onkin jo rutiinia kesäpäiville ihan riittämiin. Kaunista jussia kaikille!

I play with her soft hair gently, and oh so suddenly the baby turns into a flowergirl in full bloom, running into the kitchen to see what has happened to the seeds I got from coco and sowed in haste when we moved here. They both seem to have grown overnight, the girl and the flower, and it seems they both want to head out too, into the light, into the summer, so that's where we go.
